MESSAGE FROM THE SENIOR PASTOR

This Sunday we do something that we have never done before – convene our mid-year meeting via Zoom.

Our last meeting was the last week we were able to meet together – March 15, 2020 – which feels like an awful long time ago!
At times like this I am very thankful for the technology that enables our gathering, be it Sunday services or a church meeting. It provides me with a sense of having overcome our circumstances which is a nice feeling in a time when the circumstances seem to have the upper hand.

I’m looking forward to seeing many of your faces on my screen on Sunday. While Zoom is not a great medium for small talk and general chit chat with lots of people, it is a wonderful way to feel just a bit more connected. In the larger Zoom meetings I’ve been part of, it has been surprisingly comforting just to see people’s faces even if there was no opportunity to catch up. It reminded me that I was not alone, even if it felt a bit that way, and this provided the courage to press on. I hope that you feel the same comfort and encouragement this Sunday.

Please do read the reports prior to the meeting as this will help the meeting move more smoothly and remember that the digital doors will open at 12:00 with the meeting beginning at 12:30.

See you then!

Marc Rader

Hopefield

HOPEFIELD OP SHOP:
Due to recent updates on COVID-19 cases across the Sutherland Shire we are taking the precautionary approach and regrettably will not go ahead with the planned opening of the Op Shop this week. We have decided to delay this for another couple of weeks and to re-assess the situation at that time. We are keen to re-open, but safety is a priority, and we would rather open and remain open than have to close again a few days later due to COVID.

Hopefield has some great programs starting soon:

For further information and/or to register, see Events page on Hopefield's website.

For all enquiries or to make an appointment with one of our Psychologists please contact Hopefield by phone 9545 0299, by email or via our website

The Big Three

If you'd like to be included in this email list please send Roxane an email. We love to see the amazing craft activities the kids are creating during KidzHome / GBC Online - email Roxane photos of your kids' artworks so we can showcase their talent to the rest of our GBC Community.
