Now that Hampton Pool has reopened, the latest edition of Poolside Chat has gone to print to make sure our neighbours in the local community are aware of the operational changes that have been introduced. A copy of this special issue is attached here for information.
Poolside Chat also includes an update on our rescheduled concerts and outlines just some of the ways our community can support the pool as we try to find our way back to normal operation and to recover from the financial challenge of the last few months.
A full page in the newsletter is devoted to the booking app and how to register. As many of you will know, our existing booking app has been repurposed at short notice to provide us with the capacity for pre-booking that complies with the Government's Test and Trace requirements. This hasn't been without its challenges and is still very much a work-in-progress as the pool team learn how to tailor it to suit an ever-changing timetable. I'm grateful to them for the huge amount of work that has gone into altering the existing system so that it would allow us to open as quickly as possible. I'm also aware that, for some of you, booking swims hasn't been as smooth as we would have liked. Thank you for your patience as the pool team work through these problems on an individual basis.
I've just enjoyed my first swim in almost four months and I hope to bump into many of you at the pool in the coming weeks!
With best wishes
Jane Savidge, Chair on behalf of Hampton Pool Trust Board
