Dear Friends and Colleagues,

This month we have been pleased to share our series 'Standing on the shoulders of giants': Stories from people who have challenged injustice faced by Gypsy, Roma, Traveller and nomadic communities. The films show how activism comes in different shapes and sizes and that independently and collaboratively, we make history every day.

We must remember to celebrate the big and small wins, and this month we can. Harlow District Council have withdrawn their injunction against Traveller camps. This is a clear example for local authorities to follow and reminds us of the ever-present need for adequate and safe site provision.

Warmest wishes,
Sarah Mann
Director

Update from our casework:

“Over lockdown it's been important to find new ways of connecting with each other and social media has been key to engage with our networks. Making online videos has been a brilliant way to share skills. We've been posting craft packs throughout lockdown so everyone can continue developing their art. We're really pleased with the positive responses from people who have enjoyed trying something new or appreciated the distraction from situations beyond our control.”
