CSA Week #5
We have loved seeing all the beautiful bouquets you have been creating! We're getting new blooms every day. This week, Rudbeckia, Status, and Celosia join the stunning selection of flowers for U-Pick. Raspberries are also still available for U-Pick.
A few important notes:
  • We will provide pint containers for U-Pick raspberries. Get 'em at the Farm Stand!
  • You must wear a mask while U-Picking in the fields, even if you are more than 6 feet away from others. Please see an important update about masks below.
  • Adhere to any signage or staff instructions on where to harvest.
  • Hand washing stations will be available near the fields.

COVID-19 Health & Safety Reminders

An important update about masks
On July 7th, Governor Inslee issued a statewide order that businesses must require and enforce the use of face coverings - not just for staff, but also for all visitors and customers. As a place of business and a place where food is produced, masks or face coverings are required when picking up your CSA at the farm or Farmers Market, and when U-Picking at Oxbow.

Forgot your mask? No worries! We'll have disposable masks and/or face shields handy at the Farm Stand for any guests who might have forgotten them. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work to keep our staff, our visitors, and our food safe!

For all pickup locations: Your farmers will be handling all the food while wearing masks and gloves. Please do not handle any produce yourself. It's still a Market-style CSA with free choice to choose your Share each week, but this year, we'll be retrieving items for our Shareholders.

Other Reminders:
  • While we love your furry friends, dogs are not allowed at Oxbow. Please leave your pets at home. For those picking up at Farmers Markets, be sure to follow the individual market rules regarding pets.
  • You may bring your own reusable tote bag, but Oxbow staff will need to bag your produce into a single-use bag before handing it to you to place in your tote. Thanks for your patience and understanding.
  • If you're picking up at a Farmers Market, you'll be required to follow the safety protocol set forth by each Market:
Mercer Island Protocol | Issaquah Protocol
Don't forget to follow us on Instagram! If you've made a tasty meal with your Oxbow produce, have a recipe to share, or just want to post a glamour shot from your U-Pick adventures, give us a tag @oxbowcenter and lettuce know what you've been up to!

As always, please reach out to farmers@oxbow.org or 425-788-1134 with any questions!
