REMINDER: Extra $600 Sunsets July 25 for UI Claimants
The Pandemic Additional Compensation (PAC) program under the #CARESAct provided eligible UI, PUA, and PEUC claimants an extra $600 per week beginning March 29, 2020. As a reminder, the PAC program ends July 25, 2020. Read more here.
Cal/OSHA Urges Employers to Follow the State’s Guidance on Protecting Workers from COVID-19
Cal/OSHA is urging all employers in California to carefully review and follow the state's COVID-19 workplace safety and health guidance to ensure their workers are protected from the virus. The guidance will help employers comply with their obligations to implement effective measures to train and protect employees at each worksite. Read more here.

California unemployment improves to 14.9 percent in June

Farm worker a sunsetCalifornia’s unemployment rate improved to 14.9 percent in June as the state’s employers added a record 558,200 jobs 1, according to data released today by the California Employment Development Department (EDD) from two surveys.  Read more here.
