Te Tii (Waitangi) B3 Trust

Tupuna Whanau Representatives Quarterly Report
July 2020

Na mihi whanui a te tau hou Maori o Matariki ki a koutou.

I don't know about you, but I'm beginning to think the year 2020 doesn't like us very much.

Over these past few days, Te Tai Tokerau have battled a "once-in-500-year storm", flooding towns, businesses and in some cases forcing residents to evacuate their homes. There were main roads closed for a time and temporary shelters had to be set up in churches and schools for those in need. As always however, the community spirit was alive with local heroes providing assistance to those in need along with our wonderful emergency services, and with more rain expected throughout the week, we're fortunate to be holding our upcoming hui virtually on Saturday.

Below are the reports we will be speaking to at the hui. These include:
  • Trust Chairperson Report
  • Company Chairperson Report
  • Financial Report
These reports are available to all beneficiaries, however we are only inviting registered TWR's to attend the Zui (Zoom hui).

The following is a step-by-step guide to how this is expected to work:
  • Step 1: We send you an email containing a link in which you will register your attendance.
  • Step 2: Click on the link to take you to the registration page, which will ask you two questions:
    • Are you registered as a Tupuna Whanau Representative on the current Owners Schedule?
    • What is the name and number of the scheduled tupuna you represent?
  • Step 3: Submit your registration to be approved. If we have any queries to your registration we will email you directly.
  • Step 4: Once approved, you will receive another email with an invite and password to join the Zui on Saturday.
  • Step 5: During the meeting, we ask all participants to remain on mute. Questions and/or responses throughout the meeting can be submitted through the Zoom Chat function.
If you are unfamiliar with Zoom, the above will probably be all gibberish to you. Please click on the following link to watch some video tutorials on how to join a Zoom meeting. https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/206618765-Zoom-Video-Tutorials

If you still find no luck we can make a recording of the meeting available afterwards for a limited time.

I'm sure it's all going to be a raving success! :) If not, I'm sure we'll all have a nice little laugh about it the next time we meet, which I hope is sooner rather than later.

Let us know if you have questions otherwise we look forward to seeing you onscreen like the Matariki Stars you are!!

Noho ora mai ra me aku mihi nui atu.
