Free Webinar: Celebrating the ADA's 30th Anniversary and its Continued Impact on Georgia
July 24th: 11:00AM to 12:00PM EST

Join the State Coordinator's Office of Georgia and Center for Inclusive Design and Innovation for this one-hour webinar as we celebrate the 30th anniversary for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)! The ADA was signed into law on July 26, 1990. The ADA is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities, and represents one of the most impactful and far-reaching pieces of legislation ever created for people with disabilities.

In both the letter and the spirit of the ADA, progress continues to be made in Georgia and across the country to provide equal opportunities in the areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the general public.

In this webinar, we will be highlighting several organizations across Georgia and their respective initiatives they have taken to improve both the access and quality of life of people with disabilities. Among many other organizations across Georgia, representative organizations in this webinar will include the State ADA Coordinator’s Office, Georgia Department of Corrections, Georgia Department of Driver Services, the University System of Georgia and its continued commitment toward the Galileo application available to all Georgians, and the Center for Inclusive Design and Innovation.
