Through Opportunity Services, we help clients take steps towards building a sustainable and stable future for themselves and their families. Here's a recap of some of the ways we served clients enrolled in Opportunity Services from October 2019 through March 2020.

EMPLOYMENT SERVICES
- 141 clients served from 19 countries
- 32 job placements across 18 employers
YOUTH MENTORING SERVICES
- 27 youth and young adult clients served
- 6 high school seniors graduated and plan to attend higher education

Immigration Legal Services Turns Three
|
|
|
On July 14, we celebrated the three year anniversary of our Immigration Legal Services Program! Over the past three years, ILS has continually grown, allowing us to serve many in the wider immigrant community in the Triad. In the midst of COVID-19, our clients have continued to receive quality legal services, including assistance with citizenship. This picture of one of our clients was taken after he was sworn in as a U.S. citizen earlier this month!

"Closed Doors" Report on Refugees Fleeing Religious Persecution
|
|
World Relief and Open Doors USA recently published a joint report revealing a 90% reduction since 2015 in the number of Christians resettled from countries where the Church faces persecution. Resettlement for other religious minorities such as Jewish refugees from Iran, Yezidi refugees from Iraq, and Muslim refugees from Burma, are also on track to end 2020 down more than 90% from 2015. Stand with DACA Recipients
The U.S. Supreme Court recently ruled that the executive branch had provided a legally inadequate reason for terminating Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. However, the decision also made clear that this or a future administrations could still terminate DACA.
