Last week we enjoyed a visit from our partners, Ben & Mandy Pehrson and family as they began their furlough travels.

Do you hear me now?
Pray for sound!

Emil Ninkure and I continue to work on John's gospel together. But during our last session, the sound on his computer stopped working. I could hear him, but he could not hear me. We don't know what went wrong with his computer.

Please pray for clear two-way communication during our session tonight on John 17, and during every Monday and Thursday night session.

Please also pray for Bonnie as she flies to Florida tomorrow to look after her family.

And please pray for me as I take on two more projects for the translation team. One of them is helping to test software to help us print and distribute our translations much sooner after we finish them, and another is helping make all our translations available more widely on the Internet, including on YouVersion.

We'll have more details on these projects in a future ALT. Both of them are about making our translations more accessible to more people sooner.

What we do
Since 1987 we have been training local Papua New Guinean church leaders to translate the Bible into their own languages and coaching them through the process from first draft to publication.

We serve in the Aitape West Translation Project, which is producing and distributing Bible translations in 11 languages in print, electronic, audio, and video form; training local people to use the translations; and training the local translators to help other translators do the same in still more languages.
