Update: Centre Street Closure
Today, Council passed a motion regarding the temporary closure of Centre Street. Starting July 23rd, Centre Street will close at 4 p.m. daily and re-open by 7 a.m. the next day. The temporary closure ends September 27th, 2020.
Motion
ORDERED on the motion of Councillor Wayne Thomson, Seconded by Mike Strange that Council approve the recommendation in the report (further to the motion of the Council meeting held on July 14, 2020) to include that Centre Street closes daily starting at 4:00 PM and open by 7:00 AM from July 23rd, 2020 until September 27th, 2020 and that notice be given to the restaurants with patio licenses that their patio licence will be terminated effective September 27, 2020.
