Alberta Conference Virtual Camp Meeting

(CANADA) July 10, 2020 – Nearly three dozen Seventh-day Adventist churches and organizations across Canada received grants from the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA), the church’s global humanitarian arm, to expand their community services during the COVID-19 pandemic. ADRA in Canada, the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Canada and Adventist Community Services of the North American Division, partnered to provide the grants. The Office Assistant is a friendly and enthusiastic person at the reception who will warmly greet all who enter the Conference office. The office is a busy setting, and in addition to the essential office assistant duties you would assist other departments as needed with mailouts and some secretarial duties. An ideal candidate would have excellent organizational skills, exceptional oral and written communication abilities and close attention to detail.
Key areas:
- Assist Communications/IT, HR and Planned Giving/Trust Services
- Correspondence management and file management
- Well developed people, communication and writing skills
- Front reception as required
- Donation tracking and receipting
- Ability to work efficiently within a team or independent
- Ability to work with deadlines
- High level of computer and typing skills
- Willing to work some weekends
- Other duties as required
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Preference will be given to candidates with Communications/Financial training or experience
- Computer literacy
- Minimum of two years or more relevant hands-on experience in similar support positions
- Familiar with office machines, printer, mail, scanner, phones, computers
- Ability to function well with a team spirit
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to read, speak, hear and effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing
- Must have a valid driver’s license
