Local Health Officials Seek Public Cooperation with Contact Tracers

County of San Luis Obispo health officials are asking those who test positive for COVID-19 to help slow the spread by answering phone calls from the County Public Health Department. Click here to learn more. 

County Reports Ninth Death Due to COVID-19 Same Day as Largest Increase in Cases

The County of San Luis Obispo reported that an ninth SLO County resident has died due to COVID-19. The news comes as officials also report the largest single-day increase in confirmed cases of COVID-19 in SLO County since the pandemic began. Click here to learn more.

COVID-19 Scams

Residents have been receiving phone calls from someone claiming to be from “County Health Services” saying that they have tested positive for COVID-19. In the case we heard about, the person had not been tested. THIS IS A SCAM.⁣ More information here.

County and City of San Luis Obispo Reinstate Safe Parking Program

The County of San Luis Obispo and the City of San Luis Obispo, in partnership with CAPSLO, are expanding the 40 Prado safe parking program beginning Monday, July 20. Click here for details.

State Orders More Business Sector Closures for SLO County

To slow the spread of COVID-19 across the state, the California Department of Public Health has ordered the closure of several industries in San Luis Obispo County, effective July 16, 2020 until further notice from the State. Click here to learn more.

As of July 27, 2020, 1644 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in SLO County; 1,209 have recovered; 411 are currently recovering at home and 15 are currently hospitalized, with 4 in the ICU. Get the latest local data.
