General News
Welcome to this week's newsletter - we've got an information-packed one for you this week.
Firstly, we'd like to say a huge thanks to those members who braved the cold and attended our AGM last night - there were well over 80 members in attendance - a great turnout.
Membership Draws
Ooh the big one went last Saturday - massive congrats to Keith - what a fabulous surprise!
We've still got some decent amounts this week, and with the Turbo sponsorship that we do now, the new starting amount for Saturday is a very respectable $600.
Membership Cards
They're heee-eerrre! However. We are still awaiting the bar code scanners we ordered to be delivered - as we're going to be printing the new cards with bar codes we need to install the scanners first, do some testing to make sure they work properly, and then we can set forth and start printing your cards. Assuming no issues (don't tell me it's bad to assume!) we're still looking at a couple of weeks away.
Note - anyone becoming a new member between now and when the new cards are ready will be receiving a temporary card of undetermined colour - we've run out of the green cards so are just using up old stock in the interim. Yesterday I printed a shimmery blue card - very pretty. Regardless of the colour, it's a valid card and new members will be receiving cards with an expiry date of 31st August 2020. That's the date by which we expect to have printed AND distributed the new bar-coded cards.
If you were at our AGM last night you probably heard mention of a Loyalty Scheme - having the new cards with bar codes will enable us to easily records sales against members, and provide rewards based on certain conditions. The details are still being worked through i.e the actual nitty-gritty of how it works and what the rewards will be, but rest assured we'll have a bit of a 'launch' when we're ready to announce it to you all. Kind of exciting isn't it!
Another point from the AGM last night - as we're still using our old cards (and most of you have an expiry date of 30th June) this may pose an issue only if you wish to visit other Clubs before the new cards are ready. No problem - just drop me a line at office@ctclubrotorua.co.nz and I can print you an interim card with a forward dated expiry date - Sarah.
(No need to worry about it if you're not planning on visiting other Clubs - we all know what's happening here and that the old cards are still valid).

Our Wonderful Sponsors
We thanked our fabulous Sponsors at the AGM last night, but we'd just like to do it again here for the benefit of those members who couldn't make it last night.
Our Sponsors contribute financially to the Club to make our Membership Draws happen, as well as sponsoring other Club business - we literally couldn't do it without them and we know that you all appreciate them.
Please take a look at the Sponsors' Boards as you come into the main bar - you can remind yourselves of who they are, and if you think you may need a service they offer then give them a call!
So a giant thank you again to:
