Liebe Freundinnen und Freunde der Radbahn,

Ein Stadttraum manifestiert sich

Viel ist passiert in den letzten Monaten. Endlich fügt sich das Bild von Aktionen und Visionen zu einem umsetzbaren Projekt. 2015 haben wir davon geträumt die Radbahn Berlin runter vom Papier und rauf auf die Straße, beziehungsweise unter die Hochbahntrasse der U1, zu bekommen. Seit Winter letzten Jahres steht fest: ein Teilabschnitt der Radbahn wird Wirklichkeit - dank eurer steten Unterstützung und der Förderzusage vom Bund und Land Berlin. Ab sofort tritt die neu gegründete gemeinnützige UG Reallabor Radbahn in Aktion und wird in den nächsten drei Jahren zusammen mit euch ein Stück Radbahn erfahr- und erlebbar machen.

Radbahn Berlin, Reallabor Radbahn … wo liegt denn da der Unterschied?

Radbahn Berlin beschreibt das Konzept einer ca. 9 km langen Radbahn teils unter, teils entlang der U1 vom Bahnhof Zoo bis zur Oberbaumbrücke, die zu einer Entwicklung eines hochqualitativen Stadtraums beiträgt.
Reallabor Radbahn realisiert und untersucht einen Teilabschnitt der Radbahn-Strecke in kleinerem Maßstab, indem ein Prototyp gebaut, getestet und erneut umgebaut wird. Das Reallabor Radbahn ist somit, bildlich gesprochen, die Lupenansicht eines Teilabschnitts der Radbahn.

Die Umsetzer - wir stecken hinter Reallabor Radbahn

Jeanette Werner ist die Projektmanagerin des Reallabors und hält zukünftig alle Fäden in der Hand, die für die Bearbeitung des Tagesgeschäfts und die Leitung des Teams von Nöten sind.

Johanna Schelle, tritt als Kommunikations-Managerin und Pressesprecherin an und stellt so sicher, dass unterschiedliche Akteursgruppen frühzeitig über Planung & Co. informiert werden.

Jan-Christoph Brylla, Werkstudent und Gute Laune-Garant des Teams, berät das Team in rechtlichen Angelegenheiten und hält als Allround-Experte die IT-Strukturen am Laufen.

Nadja Berseck unterstützt uns die nächsten Monate voller Elan bei der Erstellung der Detailstudie des Projekts.

Matthias Heskamp, Perttu Ratilainen und Maximilian Hoor haben als Geschäftsführer die Vorarbeit für den heutigen Projektstand geleistet und sind für die allgemeine Projektsteuerung zuständig.

Damit wir Anwohner*innen, Nutzer*innen und andere städtischen Akteure frühzeitig in unser Vorhaben involvieren können, sind wir ab sofort auf der Suche nach einer/m Partizipations- und Studienmanager*in. Unter dem Link findet ihr alle weiteren Informationen. P.S. gerne könnt ihr die Ausschreibung über euer Netzwerk verteilen.

Ihr bestimmt wie es weitergeht

Ihr seid gefragt! Was sind eure Vorstellungen, Wünsche und Befürchtungen in Bezug auf die Radbahn Berlin? In einer ersten Umfrage wollen wir einen Eindruck davon bekommen, ob ihr das Projekt kennt, was ihr davon haltet und in welche Richtung wir es weiterentwickeln sollen. Die Umfrage sollte ca. 5-10 Minuten dauern. Wir freuen uns über jede einzelne Teilnahme.

Dear friends of Radbahn,

An urban dream is becoming a reality

A lot has happened in the last few months. Finally, the image of actions and visions is turning into a feasible project.
In 2015 we dreamed of getting Radbahn Berlin off the paper and onto the street, or rather beneath the elevated railway line of the U1. Since winter last year we have certainty: a section of Radbahn will become a reality thanks to your constant support and the funding commitment of the federal government and the state of Berlin. Reallabor Radbahn is refining the project’s concept and will be working together with you over the next three years to turn a section of the Radbahn into a real experience.

Radbahn Berlin, Reallabor Radbahn … where’s the difference?

Radbahn Berlin describes the concept of an approx. 9 km long cycle path, partly underneath and partly along the U1 from Bahnhof Zoo to Oberbaumbrücke, which contributes to the development of high-quality urban space.
Reallabor Radbahn carries the concept of Radbahn Berlin into real space by building, testing, and rebuilding the Radbahn on a smaller scale as a prototype. Metaphorically speaking, Reallabor Radbahn resembles the image you see when holding a magnifying glass above Radbahn.

The transformers - meet the team

Jeanette Werner is the project manager of Reallabor Radbahn. She holds all the threads in her hand that are necessary for handling the daily business and managing the team.

Johanna Schelle takes on the role of communications manager and press spokesperson to inform different stakeholder groups about planning processes and events from an early stage on.

Our working student and all-round expert Jan Brylla consults the team on legal matters and keeps up the good mood.

Nadja Berseck is supporting us over the next few months in preparing an in-depth study of the project.

As the project’s managing directors Matthias Heskamp, Perttu Ratilainen and Maximilian Hoor have prepared the ground for the current project status and are responsible for the general project control.
