The opposition that wants all vacation rentals to be made illegal have been very vocal since the MOU was released. They will accept nothing other than a complete ban, including Mission Beach. It's important Dr. Campbell hears from others. While we don't like everything in the MOU, we appreciate Dr. Campbell's leadership and are hopeful that a compromise will materialize so we can move forward. SAVE MISSION BEACH is a local organization that gives a voice to residents, property owners, small businesses and vacation rental managers who believe that responsibly run vacation rentals are a vital part of Mission Beach. We support reasonable regulations that protect STR rights, enforce good neighbor policies, and eliminate the bad actors.
We encourage stakeholders to be vocal about their support of short-term rentals. Join our local Town Council, follow and engage with supporters on social media, Nextdoor.com, etc. and spread the word to neighbors and friends!
