Women Saints and Chocolate/Fun Virtual Event July 17

Hi friends, hope you all are finding ways to replenish your spirits during these unusual times.

As you probably know, I'm not much of a shameless self-promoter when it comes to my writing, but I wanted to let you know about a fun, free virtual event coming up on Friday, July 17, 7 p.m., thanks to my friends at One More Page Books in Arlington.

During "Sweet Saints," we'll have a conversation about what we can learn from four women featured in my latest book, Radical Saints: 21 Women for the 21st Century. The book has short profiles of 21 women who lived in the 20th century and were canonized in the 21st along with the stories of everyday women today.

What makes this event especially cool is that my dear friend Meg Gilroy will be offering chocolate and wine parings to accompany reading about the four women. Women saints, wine, and chocolate--does it get any better? Why, yes it does! While no purchase is required, you'll be able to buy the chocolates direct from One More Page for delivery or curbside pickup if you live in the area!

While the event is free, please do register so we have an idea about bandwidth. And of course, if you buy a book or some chocolates, you're helping to support a great local business, One More Page, owned by a parishioner in the Diocese of Arlington.

Praying College Moms Rosary

While we are social distancing, we still join together virtually in prayer by offering a Holy Rosary for our young adults, ages 17 to 27, friends, caregivers, school administrators and teachers, and families. We pray for their moral strength, good mental and physical health, successful support and strengthening of their Faith. We hold over 600 students in our hearts as we pray.
