Ready to get out there and hike??? Our wonderful hike leader, Jim Gazzoli, is back and ready to lead the way!
This hike is through Aspen with well-developed understory containing lots of birds and flowers, a nice view of the Castles and the Anthracites. Cameras and binoculars would be useful. There are 3 trivial rivulets. one fair-sized creek to be crossed (twice) and a few downed trees. Roundtrip is 4.8 miles with a total elevation gain of 530 feet.
This hike is for those who have been hiking regularly with a significant elevation gain. Please asses well your abilities and acclimatization!
It will be a full day, including the drive to and from town, with an early start. Family members only in cars - all participants must drive to location. Masks required, but with social distancing followed, may not need to be worn.
