It was confirmed during the Scottish government press conference today that the guidance for Scottish beauty salons is currently still being written and will be released in the next few days.

The national clinical director said that while he hasn’t seen the guidelines yet, he imagines that they may follow similar rules to the English ones.

If this is indeed the case, unfortunately we may not be able to offer our entire treatment menu upon opening. The rules in England currently do not allow any treatments above the neck area, including facials, lash and brow treatments and facial waxing.

While we are hopeful that perhaps our guildelines may be a little more flexible, we are at this time unsure of exactly what they will entail, so we just wanted to give you as much notice as possible that this may be the case. We will update our website, social media and mailing list as soon as these have been released.

If you have already booked an appointment with us then you do not need to do anything, we are keeping these bookings as they are for now,  and once we are made aware of exactly what treatments we can and cannot perform we will be in touch with any clients who are affected directly.

Whilst this is a frustrating situation, and we feel ready and prepared to perform all our treatments safely, we appreciate that these decisions are being made in order to protect us all. We are hopefully that we will be able to offer as many of our usual treatments as possible, but if it turns out your choice is not available, we will still have a wide range of treatments on offer and hope that you may even take this opportunity to try something new!
