JULY 2020 CAMP MEETING EDITION
Southcentral Camp Meeting Is Virtual!
Although the COVID-19 pandemic has prevented large groups from gathering, spiritual food and camaraderie--the tradition of camp meeting--is still important. While we won’t be meeting in person at Pioneer Peak in Palmer, the Alaska Conference has planned an online experience to encourage and connect us. Programming is accessible from your desktop, tablet, or cell phone via the Alaska Conference YouTube channel and Facebook page. Churches that are able to gather can host viewing parties! We hope you'll plan to join us for a new way of doing camp meeting. Visit the conference website for the latest information on Alaska Conference Virtual Camp Meeting 2020.

Adventist Book Center
Although the ABC will not be here in July, orders are being taken for September delivery to coincide with constituency session.  Pre-orders must be received by July 27th--click here to view the brochure.  The ABC will be operating out of the conference office and open for order pick-up September 17 through 21 (specific days and hours will be forthcoming). If you would like to receive updates, announcements, sales events, coupons, etc., please contact the ABC at 800.286.0161 to be added to their email list. You can also follow them on Facebook or Instagram.

Arctic Mission Adventure
Although you will be joining camp meeting from home, we are accepting offerings during this time through AdventistGiving and the AMA website in support of Arctic Missions. Southcentral Camp Meeting is one of the major funding sources to help support operations for our AMA workers.  As we pass the virtual offering plate, you can help keep workers in rural Alaska!

Children's Programming
The conference has partnered with the Oregon Conference to bring Alaska youth a fun, interactive event called Rocky Railway.  Programming is available through the Socio app or online; click here for more information on how to download the app and parent resources.

At Rocky Railway, kids discover through life’s ups and downs that Jesus’ power pulls us through. Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, take part in one-of-a-kind Bible Adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them to trust Jesus, and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll be able to play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes with the Rock Wrap-Up that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Parents are encouraged to participate.

Kids at Rocky Railway will join a mission effort to provide backpacks and school supplies for children in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Africa through International Children’s Care. Rocky Railway is for kids from 3-5 and 4-10 years old and will run from 9:00 am-10:00am for Preschool and from 12:00-1:00pm for Elementary.

Information Team
An information team is standing by to answer your questions during camp meeting.  Need to know how to access the Youth Zoom Room?  Perhaps you want to give a gift to Arctic Missions.  Our team can answer your questions!  Text or call 360-362-0028 or email info@alaskaconference.org and a team member will be there to assist you.

Prayer Requests
As we are Standing Before God's Throne during this year's camp meeting, a prayer team will be taking your requests and praying specifically for God's out pouring of the Holy Spirit for our virtual ministry.  We believe He will bless our efforts as we hope to reach audiences beyond our Alaska church doors.

We welcome your prayer requests which will be prayed for "off-line" by the prayer team during the morning broadcast from 9 am - 11 am and again during the evening from 6:30 pm - 8 pm.  You can submit your request two ways: 1) Text 360-362-0417 (data rates may apply) or 2) by email.

Sabbath Concert
Each year at Southcentral Camp Meeting there is a traditional Sabbath afternoon concert--this year is no different!  Join us online, Sabbath, July 25, at 2:30 pm on the Alaska Conference YouTube channel and Facebook page for "live" and prerecorded performances by Alaska members followed by several songs by the Emmanuel Quartet.

ATTENTION PERFORMERS: Due to updated information on coronavirus transmittal, there will be no live musical performances. All musicians are asked to submit a performance video by Sunday, July 19, following the instructions below:

To submit a video for broadcast during the Sabbath concert, please follow the steps below.  Note the deadline for submitting video is July 12.
