From Canon Heather
Dear All,

Here we are one week into our second round of Stage 3 restrictions. I hope this finds you in good heart and able to keep in touch with family and friends, albeit over the phone or the internet. Don't forget we are very pleased to gather for our Zoom catch ups, and if you have never joined before, you are very welcome to have your first try this week, either at 9.15am on Sunday, or for the Thursday evening catch up at 7pm! If you need some help to do that, don't hesitate to get in touch with us. There are some instructions about how to use Zoom sent as part of this email each week, but do feel free to ask for some assistance if you would find it easier to be walked through the process.

We are very excited that this Monday sees the first of our Channel 31 Evensong broadcasts at 2.30pm. This means if you know someone who doesn't have the internet, but does have a TV, they can watch the service. Details are included below.

We were very sorry to hear of the deaths of Mr Peter Barrett and the Revd Dr Evonne Paddison on Monday. Peter was Honorary Treasurer, and Evonne a Canon of the Cathedral. The Dean has written a short tribute to them, which is available on the website.

We continue each day in prayer for you all. Do please pray for all our staff as we continue to minister through this time of physical separation from our congregations. If you have any specific prayer requests, you are always welcome to get in touch and let us know.

Grace and peace,

Heather.

Settle in this Saturday afternoon and enjoy our second ‘Virtual’ Lunchtime Concert featuring pianist Jenny Lu. Inspired by Andrew Schultz’s Sleepers Wake - Karalananga, this concert explores the themes of dream and night, morning and hope.
