NOTICE OF TRAIL CLOSURES:  The Farmington River Trail will be subject to two closures beginning on July 13 to July 20, 2020. The section near Bickford Street and Bushy Hill Road will be closed for tree removals and improvements being made to that section of the trail.  At the same time, Aquarion will be closing the section from Stratton Brook Road heading north due to construction at their water treatment plant. Both closures are expected to last about one week.  Simsbury Department of Public Works would like to thank you for your patience and understanding.

Need extra motivation to meet your fitness goals?
Join the Simsbury.Bike team in the National Bike Challenge. All levels of bicyclists are welcome. Every ride helps our team, and the desire to help the team might just motivate you to jump on your bike for a break from electronics or for a car-free trip to store. It works for me!  Join today!

The National Bike Challenge (NBC) is a free, nationwide bicycle advocacy and wellness program that encourages people to bike. Participants log the miles they bicycle to achieve personal goals or compete with other riders in an online community.  Rides can be logged manually or by using a fitness app like Strava.  The NBC runs May 1- Sept. 30 with open enrollment throughout the challenge.  Logging your rides helps to support local and national bike advocacy.

***Many 2018 NBC participants still have rides syncing from their Strava accounts - just log in and join our team! ***
