Online Challenges Now Open
|
|
We are excited to announce the start of two summer Online Challenges, sponsored by the REC Foundation! Both of these challenges will close on Sunday, August 30, 2020 and are a great way to kick off the season from home!
The VEX IQ STEM Career Readiness Online Challenge is open to any student on a 2020-2021 registered VEX IQ Challenge team in Elementary or Middle School. The challenge is simply about sharing your interest in a specific STEM career path.
The VRC Annotated Programming Skills Challenge is open to any student on a 2020-2021 registered VRC team in Middle or High School. This video challenge invites you to showcase what your robot can do given a full minute of autonomous control. This programming challenge is for this season’s Change Up game.

We know that the 2019-20 season is one we will never forget - but we want to ensure that we celebrate and honor the accomplishments, goals, and wisdom from this exceptional group of future STEM innovators.

"My experience with #VEXRobotics actually began in elementary school when my Dad took me to watch a competition at CSUN, where my future team was competing. I remember going up to the field and getting as close as I could to watch the robots, honestly mesmerized by them. This sparked a new interest in me, which led me to compete in the VEX Robotics Competition from 6th through 12th grade on Teams 83 and 1138. I grew especially fond of programming, which led me to finish 1st in the Starstruck Virtual World Online Challenge. Now, I have secured a software internship at Amazon this summer and am working towards a Computer Science degree at the University of San Diego." - Christian Gideon
