If you are new to our weekly newsletters, here is some information about us. We have added all our past newsletters to our blog just in case you deleted it by accident, like dropping a stitch but much easier to pick up.
If you have ever had the chance to meet Bronwyn from Casapinka, you would know that we both meet most situations with humor and generosity. If you think I'm hilarious, you should see some of her stuff.
Local Yarn Store Day was created by TNNA 3 years ago to drive traffic to LYS. This year it's been postponed because germs are stupid.
In the last two years, Casapinka has offered a free shawl pattern with a purchase from your local yarn store. Many stores are participating, and it's an excellent opportunity to help us out.
While we have kits in our store, I'm going to point out a few other suggestions for you to help make a very tough decision. You will receive your promo code by email after the purchase of yarn for the project. I won't limit you to our kits, but we (I mean Lily) have come up with some good suggestions.

Did you know that when anxiety hits, one of the best things you can do is breathe?
It's so simple, but it's the last thing we think of. We tend to hold our breathes when faced with the panic feeling. This tells your brain there's danger and makes it worse.
But if you breathe slow - inhale for four counts, exhale for eight counts, your brain will know that a bear is not attacking you, and you will start to calm down.
This works because Lindsay had a panic attack last night. She called for her Daddy, who is a science/psychology/meditation geek. He held her hand and helped her breathe, and she felt better. Later she told me, I'm so glad I have my Daddy, he knows exactly what I need.
I know! I teared up too!
This fitting title is all we need to think about during these times. Just breathe and hope!
You will notice that one of the selections is "choose your colors." We created this because sometimes kits aren't exactly what you want, but close, so if you choose this kit, I'll send you a Zoom invitation, or I can also email you pictures to help you choose different yarn. This choice is for only our sock weight yarn that we have in stock. You can see options here: In Stock Sock Yarn.
SALE SECTION
You will notice that some Sock Yarn is on sale. We have a SALE section that includes singles and some discontinued colorways.
All you need to do is put two sock colors together, and you get the pattern. Or buy other yarn on sale. You'll have to weed through the sock weight yarn. You do what you gotta do for a sale amirite?
BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE
We can dye to order now. So if you want what you want from the colorways on this page (I'm adding a few today as well), we can do that for you. It will take a bit longer to start working on the shawl, but you get exactly what you want.

First up is Woolfolk. It's Woolfolk so not much else to say. These are Tynd and Sno both are fingering weight and so very soft.
Other Dyers
We have some great indie-dyers in our collection. Any of them can stand on their own, or mix and match to make a beautiful shawl.
The choices are endless, and we are happy to help you decide. We can send pictures of them together, have a video chat with you so you can look for yourself. Let us know what works best for you.
Here's what you need to keep in mind though, Casapinka has given the local yarn stores codes to get the shawl for free on Ravelry. Once your order, we will send you an email with the code you need. If the code doesn't work, all you have to do is email me back and we will troubleshoot it together.
LASTLY - all codes expire at midnight on Sunday. So don't delay! I'm not sure if they turn into a pumpkin though. That would be cool.
