Hi <<First Name>>

We hope you are keeping well. We really appreciate all of your orders and the lovely comments of support you keep sending us, it is really keeping us motivated at a very difficult and strange time.  Our delivery lead times are now at one week backlog, however we are all doing everything we can to get your orders to you as quickly as we can. We really appreciate how understanding and patient you are all being when we know you are just itching to get outside, get planting and enjoying the glorious weather.

Almost five weeks into lockdown and things are far from normal. Everything still changes daily. A few more of our nurseries have reopened so within a few weeks we should start seeing more plants coming to us, but its not going to be like a 'normal' year. We still have to wait until stock actually arrives with us until we can say with certainty we will have stock.

I've also been back onto trading standards. I (and I know you all agree with us) find the rules on who can and can't trade very confusing and unfair. How is it possible for Supermarkets, DIY and discount stores to be able to sell gardening products with no restrictions however, a place where you are able to get the advice about growing isn't allowed unless you buy for home delivery? My personal opinion is all shops, other than food and medicine should be the same closed to prevent the spread of the virus. I also had an update about 'Click & Collect', it is still deemed as an unessential journey and you could be fined by the police (and that would lead to a fine for us too) if you are caught making an unessential journey. Its all so confusing! We are still working 7 days a week, we are in almost total isolation, we can't risk our own health as if we did show any signs of the virus it would result in complete closure of our business.

Earlier today I ordered bedding plants, as you all know I'm extremely fussy with plant quality and I really love this particular growers plants, unfortunately so do a lot of other garden centres. Within 30 minutes of receiving the available plant list I'd returned it with our order, 20 minutes later the grower called to say I will get some of the order but not all. So I tried my second favourite grower, he had already totally sold out. Onto the third now, we are trying desperately to get stock but we won't compromise on quality to do so!

This week our growers have sent us some fabulous new plants. Hanging basket plants, including Zonal pelargoniums (at the time of writing red is on very limited stock already!), Snowflake (a basket staple!) verbena, mini petunias and so much more.

We have a lot more edible plants too, some really top quality leafy salad pots, pot them into a larger pot or even a hanging basket and pick a few leaves each day for a tasty fresh salad!. Sweetcorn and French beans are back in stock, as are Chillis & sweet peppers,

I've put a few pictures below.

Please Stay home, and stay safe!
Paul and Rachel.

ps. Please don't ring the shop, our phone lines are not manned, we are receiving lots of messages but we are unable to reply at this moment in time, if you need us please email or drop a message on facebook.
