HAMILTONIAN ARTISTS FELLOWSHIP APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN

The Hamiltonian Artists Fellowship serves as a steppingstone for visual artists who have an active studio practice and are seeking assistance in creating a sustainable professional art career. The fellowship program seeks to create a stimulating environment for continued artistic and professional growth.

Through a comprehensive suite of professional exhibition opportunities, programming, field trips, and one-on-one support, all Hamiltonian Fellows gain valuable insight into the contemporary art market, while learning how to manage and promote their careers.

All applications are reviewed by an independent panel of renowned jurors. For the first time in its history, the jury panel includes jurors from outside the region and is being announced publicly in advance of the jurying process. The jurors are Kayleigh Bryant-Greenwell, head of public programs with Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Renwick Gallery, Washington, DC; Larry Cook, former Hamiltonian fellow and assistant professor of photography at Howard University, Washington, DC; Hasan Elahi, professor and director of the School of Art at George Mason University, Fairfax, VA; Carl Gunhouse, co-founder and director of Transmitter Gallery, Brooklyn, NY; and Erin Jane Nelson, executive director of Burnaway, Atlanta.
