UNLOCK the potential of Helderberg WCED schools during LOCKDOWN

Life sure has changed in the last month! Our country - every household, company, organisation and school - will have to adjust their thinking and modus operandi to find a new normal during this national pandemic. We have adjusted our short term plans slightly to allow for a COVID-19 detour, in order to be of maximum relevance in the way we aim to support our schools in this time.

Now, more than ever, we need Strong Schools!
We are geared to assist in leading, teaching, feeding and protecting our 13 HELDERBERG SCHOOLS, but we can't do it alone.

Teaming up with our WCED Circuit Managers
Our Strong Schools team and our organisational psychologist team from Camino Consulting is working closely with the circuit managers of the 13 Helderberg schools we have been engaged with over the past four years. Our aim is to lessen the leadership teams' loads and burdens and therefore we want to be aligned and relevant to the directives given by the WCED.

MASKS UPDATE 28 APRIL:

We have much more work to do! If at least 50 people will sew 200 masks each, and with the funds we can purchase the rest of the masks - we'll make our target in no time! Then we can start with the High Schools' masks. Please give or do your little bit to make a massive impact together!

Ons werk al vir die afgelope 4 jaar met 13 spesifieke WKOD skole in die Helderberg. Ons beplande programme vir die skole is op ys, want natuurlik is die dringende nood dat skole met COVID-19 herstel programme vorendag kom en implementeer - Strong Schools offer ons professionele ondersteuning om ten minste hierdie 13 skole se laste te help dra. Die masker verskaffing is net die begin (een praktiese ding wat ons kan offer deur die gemeenskappe te mobiliseer) ...

Strong Schools het 'n model ontwerp in samewerking met die betrokke skole se WKOD kringbestuurders, om ons 13 skole se hoofde, bestuurspanne en beheerliggaamverteenwoordigers te lei deur hierdie noodsaaklike proses van verandering. Hierdie fasilitering het pas begin - soos wat die verskillende skole se planne vorm aanneem, sal daar meer behoeftes na vore kom - bv. ondersteuning met voedselskemas, kurrikulum aanpassing en veral kommunikasie aan huishoudings, beveiliging van die skole (o.a. gesondheidsmaatreëls) ens. As enige maatskappye, individue, organisasies of ander skole Strong Schools wil help met hulpbronne en finansiële bydraes (wat belasting aftrekbaar is), kontak my direk asb. Op die oomblik het ons staande verhoudinge en toegewydheid tot hierdie 13 skole en dus wil ons ons aandag op hulle fokus.
