Note About Bag Returns
Here's a list of items to return each week: eco-friendly tote bags with the cardboard box and insulating material intact, plus any ice packs, and glass containers. We are able to sanitize and "quarantine" items in good condition for re-use. Keep or recycle egg cartons or green plastic bags. Thanks for helping us reduce our carbon footprint!

New! Hummus from Little Sesame
We're excited to introduce a new partner producer, Little Sesame from Washington, DC! Little Sesame was founded in 2015 by two acclaimed NYC chefs. Committed to serving healthy and delicious food, they source the chickpeas for their signature hummus and tahini from sustainable farms. This is a trying time for restaurants, but their small-batch hummus is not to be missed - and you can enjoy it this coming week in your Produce Bag!
Food Distribution 101: Civil Eats Reports
A favorite news outlet among 4P staff, Civil Eats, recently reported on the coronavirus and our supply chain. The article examines the current disparities in our food system, where farmers are being forced to waste food, despite needs by millions of Americans at the food banks. Read the article, "Food Distribution 101: What Happens When Our Food Supply Is Disrupted By A Pandemic" here, which points to local food systems as an answer to achieving regional food security.
4P Foods Community Response
Donors and community partners, we thank you so much for your ongoing support to help with our COVID-19 emergency feeding efforts! To help, please donate if you can and share the Emergency Food + Farm Fund for the Greater DMV/VA. In addition to these efforts aimed to keep farmers growing, small businesses open, and people fed during the crisis, contributions to the GoFundMe will help meet basic needs that have been disrupted with the closures of schools and other 4P wholesale clients.
