In light of the global situation and continued recommendations about gatherings from the CDC and from the Florida Government, we are canceling our May club meeting and beer school. With most bars/breweries still closed and no new announcements as to when things will open or if it is safe to gather, it only makes sense to cancel. We will continue to monitor the situation as it pertains to gathering in the coming months and communicate this information to our members as it comes in. 

In this trying time, it's everyone's responsibility to keep our community as safe as possible, and we need to limit potential exposure. The board meeting was held on Monday April 20th via conference call to keep the social distancing.

Sunshine Challenge 2020!
CANCELLED

For the health and safety of our members and the brewing community we have decided to cancel Sunshine Challenge. This decision was not taken lightly and all possible scenarios were evaluated.
Several of the circuit competitions have also been cancelled for this year and that was taken into consideration when the decision was made during the April 20th Board meeting.
Of the 8 circuit comps only 2 are still moving forward as planned for later in the year and it is unknown at this time if any of the points brewers and clubs would earn will be counted towards Best Florida Beer.
We are looking at possibly holding something smaller later in the year.
We are looking forward to have a successful Sunshine 2021.
