As our gala event launches we will share a series of videos showcasing our work and the ways in which your support has impacted our community.
API Chaya’s former Board Chair, Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal will share a message on why she supports API Chaya.
Founders Aaliyah Gupta and Judy Chen will share their reflections alongside our current Board Chair, Tarul Kode Tripathi, for our 25th Anniversary Video.
Derek Dizon, Program Manager, will share his journey as an API Chaya Natural Helper.
Shaila Kode, a close friend to the organization, will share her own story of survivorship and why API Chaya means so much to her.
I will share some recent highlights of our work and what API Chaya is doing around COVID-19.
At 7pm, following our program, Tasveer will be providing a benefit performance of Yoni Ki Baat for API Chaya. A link will be provided at the end of our event if you haven’t registered for this special offering already!
Thank you for joining us in centering the needs of vulnerable communities during this dual crisis of COVID-19 and the ensuing rise of domestic violence and sexual assault as our communities shelter at home. We’re so grateful for our table captains and sponsors who are engaging in our shared effort to support survivor services! Together, we’ve already crossed the $100,000 threshold and we’re making steady progress towards our $300,000 goal.
