Hope you all are Feisty & Fierce Fiddlers these days! Music and laughter are the best medicine for every ill. SO – Be sure to play your favorites (tunes, fun stuff) for the sheer joy of making music, and watch 2Set play for the kangaroos, in our video below! If you have a pet in the house, or perhaps a spouse, play for them too! Take a pic and send it to me to share in the newsletter! Musically yours, Cayt
A fresh and happy look for our break space! Pico approves!
Thanks to all who sent in their May Lessons Check. If you haven't done so yet, stop by the studio and slip your check under the 401 door or, if it's more convenient, please mail your May check  to:

Explore & Experience – Different Strings
This week's practice tip is to try playing a familiar tune on a different string or strings.

For example, if you’re playing “Cabbages” on the D and A strings, try playing it – same fingers, different strings – on the G and D strings or on the A and E strings.

Notice how the bow behaves differently on different strings.
Contributions from our Students
More music-sharing from our wonderful students! Jessica is an incredibly creative composer, as her piece "The Lark" illustrates. Here are all the files you need to play this on your own – or as a duet.

PDF sheet music here.
MP3 of both parts here.
MP3 of Violin 1 part here.
MP3 of Violin 2 part here.
As always, if you have any trouble accessing the files above, email Cynthia and she can send you copies of the files by email.

If you have a tune you've written or arranged, a photo of your home violin practice space, a poem, or anything else to share with the Full Circle community, email it to me for possible inclusion in a future newsletter.
Monica, Paula C., Rose (guest) and John play together at Open Studios last November. We're all anticipating the time when we can play together again.
Share Your Experience
I just finished a sobering practice of the Canon with the metronome, and for the most part, the metronome won! Adds a whole new dimension to practice, for sure. Much harder!

Anyway, your newsletter arrived just in time to save the day. I quickly watched the 2Set guys, and they made me laugh out loud! I'm looking forward to getting into Cynthia's waltz. Thanks so much for keeping us all connected!!! ---- Susan

This Week's Two Set Violin Video
Are you getting a bit tired of playing to an empty room? Sadly, we don’t have any handy kangaroos nearby, but this week, maybe take your violin out in the yard and play for the squirrels or the robins and see what happens! Click on the picture to play the video.
