Hi there!

As we've now all settled into our new normal, or whatever this is, many of you have reached out asking for resources, from simple recipes that don't require a ton of clean up to my favorite online workout classes. In that spirit, this is the first edition of my new weekly newsletter that will hopefully make all of your lives a bit easier.  From recipes to news, to helpful online health resources, consider this a little weekly digest.

I hope you enjoy it and remember if you have any further questions or want more in-depth assistance I'm seeing clients virtually and creating weekly meal plans for those who can't commit to a consistent video call.

Warmly,
Stephanie

Recipes of the Week: The Soup Edition

We're still in soup season so take advantage! You can make these in bulk and freeze for later. Just pair with a side salad, crackers and avocado or hummus or with roasted chickpeas (or buy some here). I also drizzle tahini on everything these days.

Carrot Ginger
Creamy Cauliflower
The Stew
Split Pea

No More Waiting in Line

Can't get a delivery window on Fresh Direct? Whole Foods sold out? There are tons of other options.  Many of my favorite restaurants from Jeffery's Grocery to Fort Defiance are hosting CSAs and selling groceries.  Even Blue Hill has gotten in on the act.  A few others I love are Baldor Foods and Juice Press Market.  Then there is Our Harvest (delivery from some of the best farms in the area), Bad Apple  and Misfits Market (weekly box of "rejected" organic produce). My favorite sources for keeping the freezer stocked with protein are Butcher Box  (currently on a waitlist) and Vital Choice Seafood. As for healthy pantry items, check out our Amazon Store as well as Thrive Market. Eater also has a fantastic round up of restaurant wholesalers who are now delivering and other food delivery services in the NY area.

Out East? Many farms like Green Thumb, Amber Waves Farm, Serene Green are all delivering.
Exercise Apps of the Week

Seems like a lot of people have taken up running but here's some great options to do at home. I still love the classic scientific 7-minute app originally published by the NYT years ago. It’s an oldie but a goodie and you don’t need any equipment. Another one that is becoming my go to is the Peloton app, no bike needed! Great cross section of different work outs and it's completely free for 90-days.
That's all for now!
