Volunteering Amid the Pandemic
The COVID-19 pandemic has required us to change the way that we operate, in many ways. And we are so grateful to you, our volunteers, for being there alongside us as we work through the newness of this experience.
Below, we share some of the ways that our volunteers continue to make a difference during this challenging time:
"During COVID-19 we offer support to those in need, one meal delivery at a time. Behind each door we visit providing food, a chance to nourish the spirit and keep hope alive - one person at a time."
- Lana & Piers

"During COVID-19 I’m continuing to enter volunteer hours to support the Volunteer Resources program."
-Barbara
"During COVID-19 I am making phone calls to isolated seniors who are part of Circle of Care’s Sinai Friendly Visiting program to check-in and see how they are doing."
- Sarah
"During COVID-19 our volunteer roles at the Adult Day Program were put on hold. During this time, we, along with fellow ADP volunteers Ed, Selma, Kerry, and Marilyn are calling clients who have been identified as isolated, lonely and feeling anxious. Our calls are being well received and helping to alleviate some of the anxiety clients are experiencing at this time."
-Cara & Bernice

"During COVID-19, we continue to provide peer support to our hospice volunteers, who can no longer visit their clients but are keeping in contact by home. COVID- 19 has added new challenges for those with life limiting illness."
- Anna & Nancy
"During COVID-19, we're sending one of our employees Tuesday through Friday each week to assist with Meals on Wheels deliveries."
