Covid-19 Update

The second set of fee waivers has been confirmed by the NSW Government

Measures have been put in place to assist up to 200,000 licence holders operating across the trades and construction sectors. A range of licence and permit fees will be waived for businesses for 12 months.
The most recent fee waivers took place from 20 April and assists a range of businesses including;

  • Tattooists
  • Home Building: Qualified Supervisor Certificates
  • Home Building: Tradesperson Certificates
  • Motor Vehicle Tradesperson Certificates
  • High Risk Work Assessor Accreditation
  • SafeWork Registered Training Organisations (for asbestos, construction and high risk work training) – new applications only]

Webinar to improve your restaurant Café or food based business

Western Sydney Business will be hosting a webinar on Tuesday 28 April from 10 am – noon to assist businesses within the hospitality sector.
Vanessa Cullen, the Founder and Principal of Forward Thinking Design, will be presenting a series of topics including:

  • Marketing (Re-Building and maintaining momentum)

Smart City Smart Business Grants

A reminder, Council has allocated a total pool of $250,000 which will be distributed as grants to assist businesses to develop and/or improve their e-commerce capabilities and online marketing. These Smart City Smart Business Grants are being made available through a streamlined application process and will offer dollar for dollar (50%) funding up to a maximum of $2,000, to businesses with a turnover below $5M.

Signage, infographics and posters for the workplace

A range of resources for businesses to download and display in your workplaces, including checklists, infographics, fact sheets for industry and posters on handwashing, hygiene and physical distancing has been made available for use by Safe Work Australia.
