Dear Whānau

On Monday this week, it was announced that schools will be opening for students who need this, from Wednesday, April 29th. We have had a great response to the survey we put out and would like to thank everyone for letting us know your intentions for your child.  

On Tuesday, April 28th (next Tuesday) we are having a Staff Only day as directed by the Minister of Education, Mr Chris Hipkins. We will be using this time to further develop our online programmes to support our ākonga. 

No online learning will be provided to your child on Tuesday 28th April to allow teachers the space to work on planning and professional development. 

On Wednesday the 29th April online schooling will continue for all of our students and the school will be open, for supervision, for those who have indicated they are sending their ākonga to school. 

Please do not send your child to school without letting us know the day before as this will affect our ability to keep everyone safe and maintain the correct ratio for supervision.

Don’t forget to use the website www.covid-19.govt.nz to find out the answers to any questions you may have regarding the lockdown levels.  The site has excellent language support at the bottom of the homepage if this is needed.
