Summer Camp Update

The earlybird registration deadline of May 1, 2020
will no longer be in effect.
The earlybird prices will remain effective for the remainder of the 2020 camping season. If summer camps get postponned or canceled, you may request a refund of paid fees or donate your submitted payment to camp.

Charitable giving during this time:
The CARES Act, passed by the federal government as an economic relief plan to counter the COVID-19 impact, provides incentives for you, to encourage charitable giving. These incentives include:

Taxpayers who take the standard deduction (do not itemize their taxes) can benefit from making charitable gifts this year. For the 2020 tax year there is a $300 above-the-line deduction option. Deductions must be gifts of cash, but not to a donor advised fund or supporting organization.
Usually there is a deduction limit for cash gifts to charities. This deduction limit has historically been 60% of a person's adjusted gross income (AGI). For 2020, these gifts (again excluding donor advised funds and supporting organizations) are deductible up to 100% of AGI.
Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) has been waived for IRA and other qualified retirement plans for the 2020 tax year. However, those who still wish to use IRA funds to make a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) can do so up to $100,000 for individuals who are over age 70½.
