Covid-19
Not unsurprisingly, Covid-19 has been the pre-eminent topic of discussion in the past few weeks.
The Companies Office (Registrar of Incorporated Societies) advises: "If circumstances related to COVID-19 are affecting your ability to respond to our deadlines, please be assured that we will not take any action to remove entities from our registers or take any enforcement action for non-compliance with filing during these times." <Updates will be posted on the website>
DIA Charities have placed extensive Covid-19 guidance on their website <go to website>
Most events including workshops, conferences and seminars have been cancelled during Alert4 and Alert3. Due to uncertainty about when restrictions will be lifted, the Events calendar on the NFP Resource webpage has been temporarily discontinued. A number of webinars are being offered aimed at non-profit groups. These include free webinars and others for which a charge is levied or which are only available to members. As these webinars are often advised at short notice NFP Resource has decided not to promulgate them in the website. Many offer the opportunity to subscribe for information about upcoming events including webinars.
Organisations offering webinars and other web-based information, discussion and training include:

working from home
FINZ have just announced a series of free Executive Webinars. which commence on 27 May.
Crisis creates opportunities for agile minds. We know this is true. The team from Philanthropy & Fundraising ANZ have created a series of 5 webinars, presented by Alan Clayton, to give you the knowledge and energy boost you need to achieve fundraising growth coming out of this crisis.
Our experience, combined with data, case studies and research tells us quite clearly:
- Some non-profits freeze in a crisis and their fundraising is set back for many years to come.
- Other non-profits act decisively, gain market share and accelerate their fundraising growth as they emerge out of the crisis. This growth continues for many years after the crisis.
Growth out of a Crisis brings together all we know about how to be the second kind of organisation.
