Did you know cyber fiber festivals are a 'thing'?

It's a brave new world!  With land-based fiber festivals being cancelled all over, brilliant organizers are finding a way to bring vendors and fiber artists together on the internet. Traditional fiber festivals have become a casualty with large gatherings currently being banned just about everywhere due to the Covid-19 situation.  This leaves vendors and fiber buyers alike without a critical way to connect.   Thanks to some ambitious and determined organizers, modern technology is helping to fill the void!  Vendors can live stream or pre-record virtual tours of their booth goods and shoppers can sit in the comfort of their homes and peruse the goods in their PJs.  This is an awesome way to 'visit' a vendor from across the country who you might not ever get to see at a festival!  When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!  (Or pie - personally I'd die for good lemon meringue. )

Nistock Farms has signed on to two upcoming cyber fiber festivals that promise to be a treat.  Coming April 24-26 is the Wool and Fiber Arts Facebook Live Online Fiber Festival.  Join up, check the schedule to see when vendors will be showcasing their wares and tune in to watch live or check in when it's convenient  (We're 'on' at 9:30 AM Sunday the 26th).  All vendor videos will remain 'up' for some time so don't worry if you miss watching that special vendor's time slot.

Next, the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival, having had to cancel for the first time in their 47 year history, is hosting on May 2-3 a Virtual Online Festival which includes a Virtual Vendor Marketplace and Virtual Fleece Sale (also on Facebook).  Join the group page and tune in to 'visit' the vendors.

Stay safe and be sure to "visit" us at one of these events until we can meet again in person!
Until next time........  May all good things come to ewe!
