It is that that time of the year again and can barely remember what it felt like last year, planning this and hosting that last Casapinka LYS (Local Yarn Shop) cast on party on the deck. This year is going to look a little different, mostly because I won't see you to hand you your kit this weekend, and also because I don't have the kits to drool over!

Karen, from miss la motte, and I are collaborating and long distance building kits so that as soon as she is able, Karen will get yarn from the mill - and we are doing these in luscious singles - and start dyeing. She has already put together some gorgeous combos, and will send me postable photos later. The kits should all be up online by 8am tomorrow morning. Once added to your cart, please checkout, and make payment and send me proof of payment BY EMAIL using your ORDER NUMBER from confirmed order as reference. This is in CAPS so that everyone READS it. I will be busy waiting for those emails, and sending off coupon codes for the pattern which MUST be DOWNLOADED before 12 noon Sunday. It is a limited offer of free pattern from Casapinka, very generous, and expires on Sunday, after which pattern is $6 and with the exchange rate you want to be saving yourself that.

So, once you have the pattern what then? Well you can:
a) patiently wait for your miss la motte yarn kit
b) cast on a test run
c) both of the above

In September there will be a proper ZOOM PARTY and cast on - Sip and Skein - as one of my friends called it! With fun and prizes and if you have knit yours already by then you can WEAR it! We are expecting the yarn kits to go out early June (gives Karen a month to get yarn, dye and send to me) but we are not promising anything right now.  And you will have surely learnt one thing during lockdown and that is DELAYED GRATIFICATION! Remember saving up for something you really really wanted? It felt so good to eventually get it right?! So we are taking you back in time to those precious memories :)

I also want to do something BE INSPIRED and will take you through all the stitches, from cast on to finish to blocking - I will host ZOOM "knit hangouts" for these. Would you like me to start next week once you have pattern? Or after you have your yarn? Let me know and majority wins!

Because I will not be sending voucher codes after 12 noon. I have a life now :) And it consists of lots of time knitting and less time working than ever before.
