CEAC Adventures - Art Activities for Kids at Home

Kia ora koutou
from the Education Team at Corban Estate Arts Centre.

Here is another activity in an ongoing series that students can do at home in their bubbles.

We have been focusing on activities that require resources that may be found around home, garden, or apartment, because artmaking is not limited by who you are or where you live.

These activities are designed with kids in mind. Younger ones may need a helping hand. Older ones can use these as foundations for further art exploration.

This series of activities #CEACAdventures, is FREE, and can be emailed to you weekly. Just subscribe to our teacher list here. Please feel free to use these activity ideas, distribute to your students, adapt to your learning topics for the term. Students can share their creations to our “Gallery”, and you can add your school and class number to the hashtag. We would love to see your outcomes.

We can help

With the re-opening date of schools being uncertain and staggered, there may be a period where leaving school grounds is just not possible. We may be able to come to you. Our educators are experienced in designing and delivering workshops in the classroom environment, or in a suitable space within your school. Costs will be minimal – based on decile, and materials required. Let us know how we can best support art exploration onsite for your students.

For now

We know you are busy with new learning methodologies. Applying this to the arts curriculum is something that we can help you with. If there are arts learning outcomes or enquiry topics that you need assistance in designing and delivering activities for, let us know. We are here to help.

Depending on your circumstances and needs, we can design activities that can be delivered face-to-face or be self-directed, and which can be delivered in the home, school, or at Corban Estate Arts Centre.
Let us know of any particular hurdles your students may face so we can design the most useful activities with those considerations in mind.

We look forward to seeing some of your students’ creative activity outcomes, stay in touch with us and do let us know what worked best in your teaching programme.
