New West finds new ways to support the creative industry

Thursday Night Live, the successful Penrith Council initiative aimed at growing the night-time economy and supporting the creative arts, has successfully moved online.

The weekly one-hour livestreamed music event, Thursday Night Live – Lockdown Series, provides an avenue for some of our local musicians to continue to work at a time when traditional live events are not possible.

Performers involved in the six-part series so far have described it as a lifeline which has generated positive flow-on effects for their respective groups. Read More
