The third annual Local Yarn Store (LYS) Day, scheduled for Saturday, April 25, has been postponed until September 12. However, we have a few LYS items and special deals that we'll be featuring this weekend as originally planned.

The goal of LYS Day -- recognizing and supporting brick-and-mortar small businesses -- is more relevant now than ever. To say "thank you" to our loyal customers, any purchase of $30 or more this weekend gets you an entry to win our special LYS Love prize package. Details below!

FREE Casapinka Breathe & Hope Shawl Pattern

Each LYS Day, designer Casapinka releases a new shawl pattern that is free if you purchase yarn to make the shawl from an LYS. This year's shawl, Breathe and Hope, uses two 400-yard skeins of fingering weight yarn in either two solid colors or a variegated and a solid. We've put together some beautiful combos featuring Sweetgeorgia Tough Love Sock, but ANY purchase of yarn to make the shawl from Friday-Sunday will get you a copy of the download code from us! Koigu Wool Designs introduced five lovely new kits for LYS Day, called "Paint Cans." Each one is inspired by a landscape in nature -- Mountain Sunset, Ocean Blue, Tulip Festival, Arctic Moss, and Douglas Fir -- and contains five 25g skeins of KPPPM, along with two patterns, one knit and one crochet, designed specifically for the Paint Cans. We have a very limited number of each colorway, so grab one now and take part in Koigu's month-long virtual travel inspiration series!
