Happy Friday BC Families!
I hope you got the message from us yesterday about the Governor’s announcement to extend the current school closure through the end of the school year. This means our distance learning will continue through Tuesday, June 9th. While we are incredibly saddened by this announcement, we have been planning for this possibility and will finalize extension plans in partnership with our incredible teachers and staff. We are working on plans for how to wrap up the year with our community while keeping social distancing measures in place.
Please note that per the Governor's previous order, Friday and Monday, May 1st and 4th, will be planning days for staff to work on extending their distance learning and instruction. So, while learning may continue for students on these days, staff will not be available. We want to assure you we will continue working as hard as we can to deliver meaningful, Classical, and equitable distance learning for all of our students and families through the end of the school year.
The swapping of materials has been getting better and better each week. Thank you for meeting and greeting us at all the designated places. I have enjoyed swapping quick stories and appreciate the well wishes. If you could help us reuse the folders by preserving them and keeping them unsealed, that would be very helpful. We now more intimately know that it truly takes a village to raise and educate our children. Thank you for doing your best, and we’ll do our best to meet you in the middle.
Have a great weekend!
