As we start knowing people who are sick and even those who have died from COVID-19, our personal fears grow. We become more vigilant about wiping down our cars and homes with disinfectant, although Purell and disinfecting wipes are almost impossible to purchase. We wash our hands until they crack, stay at least 6 feet away from anyone we meet, and wear homemade masks, while we scurry to the grocery store at 5 in the morning to avoid a crowd.

And we attempt to stay calm in the face of such dire news and the growing fear that the worst is still to come. What else can we do?
