Surgical simulator specialist turns to ventilator parts and PPE

Laparoscopic surgery simulator specialists Inovus Medical has converted its manufacturing lines to develop parts for ventilators and personal protection equipment (PPE) as part of two new projects to help battle Coronavirus.

Having seen the overwhelming demand for these items, Inovus took the decision to convert their manufacturing lines to aid in the production of ventilators and face visors in the fight against COVID-19.

The company’s actions are designed to help protect the lives of key workers in the NHS and social care environments and assist in the care of patients across the UK.

Do you know of anyone who is concerned that they might have the Covid-19 virus, and they want to be tested? Or anyone who wants to travel and needs an "all clear"?

The National Health and Medical Service (NHMS) can provide immediately the medically valid Covid-19 swab test. Available to anyone in the UK.

FUNDING NEWS 🗞

Digital health continues to captivate venture capitalists around the world.

2019 was the second largest ever year for funding in this sector, totalling $7.5bn globally – a fraction below the 2018 record of $8.1bn. That compares to just $1.2bn in 2010.

UK puts up £20M in grants to develop resilience tech for critical industries

the UK government today announced that it will issue £20 million ($24.5 million) in grants of up to £50,000 each to startups and other businesses that are developing tools to improve resilience for critical industries — in other words, those that need to keep moving when something cataclysmic like a pandemic hits.
