A Note from our Chapter President
Here are some updates on activities for 2020 regarding Chapter #46:
Tournaments: As of now, nothing has changed. Our June 20th tournament is still on unless the Governor extends the lockdown or health concerns in our area increase. We will be posting the tourney registration materials soon. Same with the Gil Hamm and Frank Schneider.
Stocking: According to Chris Kavanaugh (NE Regional DNR Manager) “ Due to the COVID-19 situation the MN DNR has made the decision to postpone all egg-take operations this spring. Fortunately, muskie fingerling production in 2019 as exceptional and we were able to stock ahead a number of waters and placed surplus fish in many other places. There may be opportunities to go into some natural ponds this fall where carryover fish are available, and utilize those fish in some waters.”
Hugh Becker Grant: The $3,000 grant to Bemidji DNR for purchasing minnows for our 3 ponds for 2020 is still going forward: The check should arrive in May.
2020 outing dates are posted on this website, please make a note on your calendars. Any updates or changes will be communicated on our website!
Lure Auction is postponed until we get an all-clear from the Governor to hold a gathering of at least 50 people.
