Lockdown Learning
Here's something for parents, grandparents, carers and teachers. We are all trying our best to educate, motivate and inspire our children while schools are closed. Different schools have different strategies and I am sure many of us are slightly overwhelmed by the online resources, but if you have a farming-mad child and need something other than YouTube to fill the time, why not try these great websites.
- From "Why are farmers so smelly?" to farming with robots, #LockdownLearning with partner NFU has some great videos and activities. Not just restricted to primary age - there are some informative and thought-provoking articles for older teens too.
- One of our favourites for the under 7s is Tractor Ted's Funzone Colouring, songs, family games and activities all for free.
- The Countryside Classroom Passport is a printable activity book for children to tick off as they complete. Sections include Food, Farming and The Natural Environment and points are collected along the way.
