NEWS HIGHLIGHTS

IDG has needed to make some adjustments of future meetings. We are aiming and hoping for successful gatherings later in the year with delayed IDG Outreach meeting at UNC, Chapel Hill and IDG focused social at Society for Neuroscience meeting. In the meanwhile, check out some recent IDG publications.

IDG meetings in the future

The IDG Outreach meeting at UNC, Chapel Hill originally scheduled for May has been postponed until the fall with the same great line up of speakers from across different IDG groups, UNC and Duke University, in addition to a plenary talk entitled “Protein Kinase C Unbalanced: Loss-of-Function vs Gain-of-Function in Disease” by Dr. Alexandra Newton from University of California, San Diego. The proposed date for this meeting is September 10th and 11th, 2020.

At the annual meeting of the Society for Neuroscience in Washington, DC during October 24-28, 2020, there will be a social entitled: Illuminating the Druggable Genome Social:  Receptors, Channels, and Kinases—Oh My! This social offers an opportunity to learn about tools and digital resources available for these unique proteins. Presentations will highlight IDG resources, live demos of IDG knowledgebases will be conducted, and an informal poster session will feature current research on understudied targets.
