Dear Community Members,

Given the current pandemic, we understand these are difficult times. Over the past few weeks, our team has been working with members of the community to learn more on ways we can support Colony Park. In our effort to keep you informed of our progress, we’d like to share a few updates that are taking place in the community.

COVID-19 Testing

On April 17, CommUnityCare launched new COVID-19 testing sites in Northeast Travis County.
  • Colony Park will have drive-thru testing on Mondays and Fridays at Barbara Jordan Elementary from 9am-4pm.
  • No appointment or doctor referral is needed.
  • Testing is provided for individuals with and without insurance.
  • Testing is available only for patients experiencing symptoms.
For more information, view the testing site flyer here
Health and Wellness Center

As you know, now more than ever, health and wellness services are needed in Colony Park. Our team is working with Central Health to finalize an agreement to build a new Health and Wellness Center on the 208-acres of city-owned land located off Loyola Lane. Once the agreement is finalized, Central Health can begin design and construction of a future Health and Wellness Center in Colony Park. This process will take time, but our team is committed to ensuring the project stays on track.

Laying the Groundwork

In our efforts to lay the groundwork for future construction, our team is working with Catellus Development Corporation to secure new soil for the 208-acres.

Over the next few months, we will begin transporting new soil to the Colony Park Sustainable Community site and taking precautions to alleviate any burdens on the community. The soil will be transported through specific routes and over a specified time.

Please keep an eye out in the mail for notices that will be sent to the community soon.

Food Access

Our team is working with FarmShare Austin to continue offering access to food services in the area.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Farm Stand located at Barbara Jordan Elementary has been temporarily closed; however, FarmShare Austin is offering Mobile Market Curbside Delivery for families in need.
