Heart and Soul with Rev. Linda on Monday Evenings

Heart and Soul with Rev. Linda
Monday Evenings
7:00 p.m.

Heart and Soul gathering on Mondays at 7:00 p.m. Heart and Soul is a structured time for reflection and community. Designed by British Unitarian, and friend of Rev. Linda, Jane Blackall, it invites participants to focus on a theme with four opportunities for joined meditation together. It ends with a time for sharing with each other. More information can be found here.

Participants are encouraged to arrive a few minutes before the meeting start time, so attendees can be invited into the Zoom room. Once the gathering circle has been created, the Zoom “door” will be closed, and late attendees will not be able to enter that evening. Your timely login allows us the opportunity to create a space for interested participants, and publicly offer this invitation, as well as alleviate concerns about potential mischievous Zoombombers.

Zoom Information

Zoom Worship Services and Meeting
For and overview on our use of Zoom Meetings, visit https://www.tahomauu.com/connection/zoom-worship-services-and-meetings/

Zoom Companions
We've had responses from a few folks on our Connection Needs and Opportunities Survey who indicated they can help those needing a little extra support getting on Zoom -- thank you! We're working on matching those with a need to those who can provide support, and we'll be in contact soon. If you know of someone who could use support, but hasn't completed our Connection Needs and Opportunities Survey, please let us know. Thank you!!

Small Group Meetings on Zoom
Based on the evolving best practices in hosting Zoom Meetings, most small group meetings will require attendees to have both a Zoom Meeting ID and a Password. Group leaders will have this information near the date of their meeting, or you may also email Admin@TahomaUU.com for the information for open meetings like Soul Matters Drop In Chalice Circle, Soul Matters Deep Dive, or UU Freethinking Mystics.

Zoom Meetings Training for Small Group Leaders
We've had one online training meeting of folks who lead small groups to provide a bit more information with some technical info about leading your group on Zoom. If you missed the meeting, but want to schedule a time for training, please email Church Administrator, Libby Ball, at Admin@TahomaUU.com. We'll schedule a session based on your responses.

Supporting Our Tahoma UU Congregation

During our online worship service there will be a time to contribute in an act of collective generosity, just as we do in person each week. Donations for pledges or other contributions can be made online by going to our website at www.TahomaUU.com, then scroll to the "Donate to TahomaUU" button, and follow the instructions to make a contribution from your bank account. This will be an electronic transfer of funds from your bank account to the church bank account, and is especially appreciated during this current health situation. Contributions can also be made from your bank online, or can also be mailed to the church at Tahoma UU Congegation, 1115 S 56th Street, Tacoma WA 98408 with checks written to TUUC. Contributions made online from your bank generate a physical check that is mailed to the congregation that is then deposited to the church's bank account, and contributions made online through our website generate an electronic transfer of funds where the deposit is made directly to the church's bank account. The company that processes our online donations is increasing their capacity for all the churches they service at this time, and we will let you know about any new options for giving as they are available to us. Thank you for your continued support during this time.
See you ONLINE this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. for worship service !
