Ladies and Gentlemen,
 
In our last post we said we would come back to you on or about the 31^st of May to let you know what was happening with the 2020 Rally.  Well, as we know, the Government has just extended furlough for another 3 weeks and, even if all goes according to plan, there will be a phasing back in of activity.  We know that it is hitting people hard in the pocket and it is proving almost impossible to fundraise. 
 
As you may have gathered, we have been working hard in the background with our travel coordinators to determine all available options going forward.  So, they have given us enough confidence in the planning they are conducting on our behalf, to make an announcement.  As such, the 2020 Rally will be postponed until 2021.  The Collins Aerospace Rally for Heroes will take place from Weds 11^th to Friday 20^th August 2021.  It takes place a week later and whilst there may end up being some changes to the route next year, it allows us to preserve, as far as possible, the plans we have in place for Budapest as our veritable jewel in the crown.  The Defence Attaché and his team have already pledged their support to our visit, and we will touch base with the new British Ambassador who will be in place prior to the Rally taking place. 
 
We are hugely grateful to Frederik who has looked after us for several years as part of Tumlare/Kuoni travel group, working tirelessly for us to agree deals with hotels for the following year.  There are a few bits that he is still working on and we will wait and see what he comes back with.  If we need to find alternatives, we will ensure that they meet our very high standards.
 
In the meantime, we are putting in place plans to have a rip-roaring 2020 Christmas party and dependent on when restrictions get lifted, we will look for opportunities for events in the last quarter of this year. 
 
Whilst an element of disappointment is inevitable as we have been planning the 2020 event for a long time, with a huge amount of man hours consumed in the process, along with the numerous fundraisers that you, the Entrants, have already organised.  Nevertheless, we really hope this announcement creates a sense of excitement as we fully intend to have a great run of events leading up to the most amazing adventure that will be the Collins Aerospace Rally for Heroes 2021 event.  Bring it on!
